This working group is a protected space for railway companies to share knowledge, to reach 100% availability of spare parts and rolling stock and to optimize supply chain costs.
Already this cooperation helps new players to accelerate much faster and has achieved that 3D printing requirements are integrated into the tender for new rail vehicles.
Accelerating the implementation of AM in the rail industry
Communicating specific needs of railways in Europe to the industry (e.g. flame-retardancy requirements)
Jointly developing use cases to analyze challenges and possible fields of research & development
Creating an informal joint database for railway companies
User-driven discussions with the industry in a format called “RAILiability and Friends”
