On September 7 & 8 the leading conference of the railway industry with exhibition finally opened its on-site and virtual doors and we were happy to be part of the on-site exhibition with our MGA booth. It was amazing to see not only some of our members, like the DB, SKF and Chromatic, but also to share our passion about 3D printing and the advantages it can provide with the rail community. The varied and exciting program of the Railway Forum offered something for everyone, and we were able to participate in many interesting and educative discussions and presentations. The topic of sustainability was particularly in focus here and visions of alternative drives, such as the hydrogen train, were presented. Likewise, the digitalization & automatization of the industry was a large component of the content. DB Cargo underlined the importance of rail in terms of CO2 neutral transport and presented it as a sustainable model for the future. Having lunch in between presentations, we were able to meet new experts and exchange ideas with each other. At the evening award ceremony of the 3D printing competition of Deutsche Bahn, the creative winners of the different categories were awarded and honored, which left many exciting impressions. It was a great experience and we cannot wait for the next conference with IPM: The AM Medical Days on November 22 & 23 in Berlin. Check out the event now!
