Dr Maximilian Kunkel has been working as a research project manager for Additive Manufacturing technologies at Siemens Mobility GmbH in Germany since 2014, with the objective of establishing additive manufacturing processes as a manufacturing solution both for the spare parts sector and for series use in the rail sector, while meeting sector-specific requirements. In addition to numerous research and development projects, Mr. Kunkel heads the “Approval” working group of the “Mobility goes Additive” association and actively shapes the standardization of additive manufacturing processes both on a national and international level (VDI, DVS, DIN, ISO).
