Your contribution for a generic approval path for AM parts
Last year we managed to get the first additively manufactured railway component approved. To avoid constant repetition of this cost-intensive approval process for every new part, the Approval in Rail working group would like to develop a generic approval path and a calculation method for AM manufactured safety-relevant components in the railway sector.
This method should then serve as a basis for approving other materials for other industries or slightly different technologies.

For this, however, the working group needs your support! A total of 80,000 euros is needed for mathematical verification and cost-intensive dynamic endurance tests. In the end, a generic approval path should be included in the FKM guideline.
